Our belief is that in making a small difference, we can create significant change. We want to use our physical resources to attain better resources for deserving and promising scholars. MAD2Adventures is a registered NPO and Level 1 B-BBEE contributor.

WHAT WE DO
We run our hearts out!
MAD2Run is an annual fundraising event – the journey is an 8-day long, 24hr, relay-style run from Johannesburg to Cape Town (1520KM). There are 44 runners, who are embracing this upcoming adventure. MAD2Run 2021 will be our 8th consecutive event, and will be taking place from the 8th – 15th October 2021.
As a relay run, each team member is committed to running a minimum of 20KMs per day!
WHY WE DO IT
To put others first
The Make A Difference Leadership Foundation (MAD) is a holistic full investment scholarship programme. They aim to identify academically talented scholars with leadership potential, who do not have the necessary financial resources, and offer them support in the areas of education, leadership and lifeskills development. MAD’s philosophy is “focused on the development of a select cadre of high performance individuals who, in themselves, are role models who inspire others and who will support each other in the future by giving back to others.
MAD was founded by Francois Pienaar in 2003 and are currently supporting 311 scholars on their program, from all over SA. MAD is the sole beneficiary of the MAD2Adventures NPO.
Follow our adventure
We are part of a team of 36 MADsters who will be running a 24hr relay run from Johannesburg to Cape Town, 1520kms, in 1 week with the purpose of raising funds for underprivileged scholars. All funds raised go towards the education and leadership development of SA’s future leaders.
Virginia (140kms) -
MAD2Run means a lot to me. It is a great honour to be part of the team and a Foundation that is doing something big. It will be an experience of a life time as I plan to accomplish 140km, I wish to push more and raise more funds for MAD. To the villagers I say we don't need a reason to help people, together we can Make a Difference in other people's lives.
Kagiso (200kms)-
Being able to make a difference in someone's life and also for personal growth from the challenge that lies ahead.
Matshepo (300kms) -
I know what it feels like not to have, and my running club helped me with major issues in my life.
Bekezela (250kms) -
MAD2Run means that I have the opportunity to Make a Difference in someone's life, extending love and kindness to others unconditionally without expecting a reward. Putting my legs down for someone to gain. It's a lifetime fulfilment.
